Our practice and Dr. Hilgers are not acting as your primary care physician (including your primary obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN)), and our services do not replace the care currently provided to you by other health care providers, such as an internist, gynecologist, obstetrician, cardiologist, gastroenterologist, oncologist or other specialty care provider.
DOES DR. HILGERS PERFORM SURGERY, PROVIDE OBSTETRICAL CARE, PROVIDE PRIMARY CARE SERVICES, OR ADMIT PATIENTS TO THE HOSPITAL?

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE OFFICE?
The most efficient way to reach us is by sending a secure message through the patient portal.
Our team will respond to messages in the order they are received during normal office hours, and messages submitted over the weekend, a holiday, or office closure will be addressed when the office reopens. This ensures we can provide you with the best possible service, and timely follow-up in a secure manner.
Please keep in mind that a secure message through the patient portal is not an appropriate means of communication regarding a health emergency.
Portal messages are to be used for non-urgent messages only, and a response will generally be sent within two (2) business days.
WHAT IF I HAVE A HEALTH EMERGENCY?
We are not emergency care, or urgent care. We are not a primary care practice, or primary obstetrics and gynecology practice. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your primary care physician, or your primary obstetrician and gynecologist, as applicable, or go to the nearest emergency medical facility.
DO YOU OFFER IN-OFFICE VISITS/CONSULTATIONS?
No, our practice is an entirely telemedicine-based practice, and accordingly we do not offer in-office visits/consultations. We only offer virtual telemedicine visits. In addition, Dr. Hilgers may determine whether the nature of a consultation is appropriate for telemedicine and may recommend you consult face-to-face with a separate health care provider.

WHAT IS YOUR MEMBERSHIP/PROGRAM CANCELLATION POLICY
You can cancel your membership or program at any time upon giving thirty (30) days written notice. However, please note that most medical and administrative expenses are incurred at the beginning of your membership or program term. Our team will carefully assess the value of the services provided against the payments you have made to determine if a refund is applicable.
WHAT IS YOUR APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY
We dedicate significant time and attention to each patient, which means our telemedicine appointment slots are limited. To be respectful of our schedule and other patients, we ask for at least three (3) business days’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
Cancellations made within three (3) business days of the appointment, no-shows, or patients presenting more than 15 minutes late to a telemedicine visit will result in the telemedicine visit being forfeited.
This policy helps our office ensure that we can accommodate all patients who are waiting for a telemedicine appointment and allows us to provide the best possible care to everyone, and we appreciate your understanding.
WILL I FULLY RECOVER BY THE END OF A TRUE HEALTH MATTERS TELEMEDICINE PROGRAM?
Healing from complex health, cycle, or fertility issues is a gradual process. Given the years of symptoms, and underlying dysfunction, it is important to understand that no treatment plan is a quick or guaranteed fix.
We anticipate that recovery can take time with ongoing support, maintenance and optimization along the way. Our goal is to work with you to address your issues and coordinate a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan.
Patience and commitment are key to achieving lasting improvement.
WHAT RECOMMENDATIONS CAN I POSSIBLY EXPECT?
We will provide a plan tailored to your unique needs, which may include:
- Nutritional supplements to support your health, cycle, and fertility.
- Functional health education and health coaching to optimize your overall well-being.
- Dietary therapy including detoxification.
- Biomarker cycle charting for female-health and fertility evaluation and optimization.
- Prescription medication to assess underlying medical issues.
- Male fertility evaluation and assistance.
- Targeted, cycle-specific hormone testing and cooperative, bioidentical hormone support.
- Ovulation monitoring and ovarian support.
Please note that your success is closely tied to your consistency and commitment, which are essential to achieving the best possible outcome.
WHY MIGHT SPECIALIZED TESTING BE RECOMMENDED?
Specialized testing may be recommended to obtain a better understanding of your overall health, and to assist with comprehensive treatment planning.
Please be aware that these tests are not covered by insurance and are out-of-pocket expenses.
WHAT LAB TESTS ARE INCLUDED AND HOW MUCH DOES SPECIALIZED LAB TESTING COST?
Each True Health Matters telemedicine program typically includes a comprehensive female hormone panel that is performed at the beginning of the program, and the cost of this lab panel is included in the cost of the program. The cost of additional lab tests is not included and the cost for additional lab work typically ranges between $50 to $350. Keep in mind each case is unique, and this cost estimate can vary, and the total cost and the number of tests required depend on the severity and complexity of your health issues.
Based on your individual needs, we will determine the appropriate tests and provide you with our best estimate of both the cost and tests recommended for your treatment plan.
WILL MY INSURANCE COVER LAB TESTING?
For lab testing we partner with Evexia Labs, which provides access to specialized laboratory testing. Evexia does not work with insurance (patients cannot use insurance to pay for services) but patients can use HSA or FSA cards to pay for lab orders.
DO I NEED TO FORMALLY CHART MY CYCLES TO WORK WITH DR. HILGERS?
Formal biomarker-cycle charting is highly recommended. HOW MUCH DOES CYCLE-CHARTING EDUCATION COST?
Learning the Creighton Model FertilityCare System costs roughly $350–$650 for the first year, which typically includes an introductory session, materials, and eight follow-up sessions. Costs vary by FertilityCare Practitioner or Center.

ARE THE MEMBERSHIP/PROGRAM FEES COVERED BY INSURANCE?
NaProTECHNOLOGY takes a comprehensive, whole-person approach to health utilizing a cooperative evaluation and treatment framework, rather than treatment approaches that suppress or circumvent the natural female cycle or fertility.
Due to the extensive nature of our evaluations and the limitations of traditional medical insurance, we do not accept insurance.
Our priority is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care, free from the constraints of insurance-driven healthcare models.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY TRUE HEALTH MATTERS TELEMEDICINE PROGRAM ENDS?
